Job Description

Traveling manager pilgrimage will be responsible for planning, organizing and management of all aspects of tourism and trips. This includes coordination with stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution of logistics and providing a memorable spiritual experience to participants by maintaining the highest standards of security and service quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop yatra itineraries, including travel schedules, accommodations, and event activities.
  • Liaise with tour operators, transport providers, accommodation partners, and local authorities.
  • Coordinate with spiritual leaders and event coordinators for seamless yatra execution.
  • Ensure timely execution of all logistical arrangements, including transportation, food, and accommodations.
  • Prepare contingency plans to address potential challenges during the yatra.
  • Monitor on-ground operations to ensure adherence to planned schedules.
  • Oversee participant registrations and provide detailed information about the yatra.
  • Address participant concerns or queries and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Organize pre-yatra orientation sessions to brief participants on schedules, guidelines, and expectations.
  • Prepare budgets for each yatra and manage expenses within the approved limits.
  • Coordinate payment schedules with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure transparency and accurate financial reporting post-yatra.
  • Ensure safety protocols are in place and communicated to all participants.
  • Conduct risk assessments and coordinate emergency response plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, permits, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead a team of coordinators, volunteers, and on-ground staff.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate roles, responsibilities, and updates.
  • Train team members to handle participant interactions and manage emergencies effectively.
  • Collect feedback from participants to improve future yatras.
  • Prepare and present post-event reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate follow-up activities, including sharing of photos/videos and resolving any pending matters.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism Management, Event Management, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in managing group travel, events, or pilgrimages.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Budget management and financial planning expertise.
  • Familiarity with spiritual and cultural aspects of pilgrimage tours.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using travel management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing large groups and remote locations.
  • Familiarity with local languages and customs of major pilgrimage destinations.
  • Prior experience in coordinating with spiritual organizations or religious groups.

Work Environment

  • The role involves extensive travel to pilgrimage sites and coordination across multiple locations.
  • Requires availability on weekends and holidays, depending on the yatra schedules.
